Cybersecurity firm Smarttech247 announces 30 jobs for Cork
Another jobs boost for Cork as the cybersecurity firm Smarttech247 has announced it is looking to fill dozens of roles. As it continues its gradual international expansion, cybersecurity firm Smarttech247 is planning to bolster its headquarters in Cork with the creation of 30 jobs.
With help from Enterprise Ireland, the company expects to have the recruitment process finished by the end of this year. The roles are expected to cover the areas of security analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, international business sales and project management.

The company was one of the first cybersecurity outfits to work with IBM’s Watson for Cyber Security that uses AI to help tackle the growing threat of cyberattacks in a world where millions – if not billions – of devices connected as part of the internet of things.
Speaking of the jobs boost, Ronan Murphy, CEO of Smarttech247 said: “The cybersecurity industry is very dynamic and Ireland is positioning itself as a leader in the space. “The announcement of 30 new jobs is another important milestone for us and will allow us to develop more innovative products and services for international markets.”
