About the programme


it@cork skillnet in conjunction with a number of Cork-based technology companies has an exciting opportunity for recent IT graduates.

The participating companies have come on board with the aim of hiring the graduates; who will then complete a four to five week IT Graduate Transition Programme (designed by the companies so that it matches their needs) before entering the workplace. The programme will focus on business and workplace skills, along with technical skills required specifically for job role. The programme will help the graduate to become more ‘job-ready’ while giving them access to state-of-the-art training and networking opportunities with other graduates and company representatives.


Qualification requirements: A minimum of Level 7 in Computer Science or related discipline

Job role: Software developer (the job role will vary from company to company but generically the roles can be classed as ‘software developer’)

Programme start date: Autumn 2018

Work start date: After completion of training programme (exact date to be agreed with company)
