South West Regional Authority
Established in 1994, the South West Regional Authority is a statutory public body with responsibility for strategic planning in the region. The Authority also makes recommendations on government investment programmes and monitors and reviews the operation of the National Development Plan. The Authority's vision for the South West, is that the Region will continue to achieve sustainable, balanced growth and development, that the people of the region will, continue to enjoy a high quality of life while protecting and enhancing our unique culture and heritage.

The Authority has participated, as both leader and partner, in a wide range of EU Projects that promote the development of public services in the region.
