Declan is CEO of Firecomms, a semiconductor company spun out of the Tyndall National Institute. Firecomms is a leader in High Speed Visible LEDs, RCLEDs and Laser technology and has developed high performance Transceiver technology based on this platform.  Firecomms products are used with Polymer Optical Fiber in Automotive, Industrial and Consumer applications. Firecomms is a supplier to major global companies such as Volvo, Hyundai, Motorola and Philips.
Declan has an established reputation for successfully driving the fast growth of early stage companies to become major international players. 
Prior to Firecomms Declan was co-founder  and president of Northstar Systems and was based in San Jose California where he piloted a worldwide sales and engineering team to fast growth in the computer and IT market segments.
