500 New PCs For UCC Students

PFH has completed the supply and installation of five hundred and eighteen (518) new HP PC’s for UCC’s Computer Science labs and School of Mathematical Sciences. The contract was awarded as a result of a successful tender process.

'We were very happy with both the equipment and level of service provided by PFH,' said Martin Moriarty, Acting Computer Services Manager, Computer Science Department, U.C.C.  'PFH did an excellent job, both in the planning, imaging, communication and rollout stages and the whole process was completed within two weeks, as per the proposed schedule, without any hitches.'

Paul Keegan, School Systems Administration Manager at the School of Mathematical Sciences, U.C.C. also commented on the selection of PFH for their 'competitive pricing, their reputation as a quality service-provider and speed of deployment on the project.'

PFH installed 360 new PCs in UCC's new Western Gateway Building's Computer Science labs with the balance installed in the School of Mathematical Sciences. Account Manager at PFH, Joanne Ahern, outlined the importance of building close business relationships with clients and the need to deliver excellence. 'An important ingredient in the project’s success,' she said 'was close co-operation between HP and PFH, who are fully-accredited HP Gold Partners, to interpret and deliver the requests from UCC and to also combine them with PFH's other services.'
