Insight into Mike Fitzgerald's (CEO, Altobridge) presentation at next week's Annual Conference

Mike Fitzgerald, CEO, Altobridge and recent winner of the Enrst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, will address delegates at next week's it@cork Recovery Through Technology Conference on November 18. 

'My Altobridge presentation will be based on setting up indigenous R&D in Ireland, commercialisation of that technology, selling directly to customers and licensing our technology via strategic partners.
I will make reference to the resources we brought together prominently from Ireland's Multinational Companies e.g. Ericsson, Motorola, Logica CMG etc.
I will also discuss how we built a  strong R&D capability capable of generating unique differentiating solutions for telecommunications. The prime market being Remote Wireless  Communications and our goal of becoming the dominant global player in this space.'

About Mike Fitzgerald

Mike Fitzgerald has 21 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, primarily focused on wireless network solutions. He has held the position of Vice President of two NASDAQ-quoted companies - ADC Telecommunications (ADCT) and interWAVE Communications (IWAV). He led the MBO of a division of a US company to form Microcellular Systems, brought the company to profitability and completed a successful trade sale of that entity for US$20million in 2000. From 1994- 1996 he was a member of the senior management team running Ericsson’'s wireless business for China and Hong Kong and went on to become Regional Manager (Western USA), running a US$300-million business unit. Mike is a co-founder of Altobridge and a board member of several technology and investment companies, including: Mianach Venture Capital and Blue Ocean Wireless. Mike graduated from University College Cork with a degree in Computers and Mathematics and recently (2007 – 2008) completed Leadership 4 Growth at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
