After a decade or so copywriting in the advertising business, he turned his back on that industry and in 2001 got into blogging. First publishing "cartoons on the back of business cards", he then started using blogs to develop other enterprises, namely, a Savile Row tailor's blog , EnglishCut.com, then a wine blog, Stormhoek.com.
