it@cork are delighted to launch our first Diversity in Tech event of 2020 which will take place on 12th March. This will be an exciting and interactive panel discussion with leaders from the Tech Sector in Cork. This event is kindly sponsored by ClickDimensions.

Overview: This event will host a panel of leaders from the Tech Sector that will give advice on, and answer queries on a number of work-related topics such as:

Marguerite Coleman – Chief of Staff, Cork Campus Operations, Dell Technologies
Marguerite a 15-year veteran of Dell Technologies with over 20 years program management experience in multinational companies. She has worked on global software and infrastructure deployments. Marguerite was a lead IT program manager for day 1 integration of Dell and EMC. Marguerite has also fulfilled customer-facing roles while managing customer validation projects with the Cork Solutions Center.
In her current role, Marguerite supports Bob Savage site lead with responsibility for Cork, Cairo and India. Leading programs to drive the Dell Tech strategy cross-functionally across all 16 business units in Cork; promotes the company brand internally and externally and is leading key programs to drive innovation and collaboration between Dell Technologies sites and SAB’s
Damien O’Halloran – Senior Director of Customer Support and Customer Experience, Virtustream
Damien O’Halloran is Senior Director of Customer Support and Customer Experience for Virtustream. He leads this globally diverse team with team members based in Cork, Utah, Durham, Atlanta and Bangalore, supporting Virtustream enterprise cloud solutions. Prior to joining Virtustream by Dell Technologies in 2016, Damien also led the Mozy and Spanning customer support teams globally, spending almost 10 years supporting cloud data protection solutions. Having been with the organisation since 1998, Damien has spent the majority of that time supporting our customers. Damien is also actively involved in multiple Diversity & Inclusion functions, most especially within the Dell EMC Employee Resource Groups, he also co-leads the Dell Cork Pride ERG, having established the ERG originally in 2008 and has seen the ERG grow from strength to strength since.
Ciaran Ryan – Director Offering Management, IBM
Ciaran leads a software development team and product management team who build solutions to help IBM customers to manage their IT and Network operations. He also has responsibilities as the site manager for IBM in Cork. Previous roles included working for Ericsson, Vodafone and Comnitel which became Vallent Technologies.
