it@cork and KerrySciTech’s Evolve event puts emerging companies front of stage

KerrySciTech & it@cork’s first in-person and hybrid Evolve series event kicked off on Thursday 15th September at the RDI Hub in Killorglin. The series, which is focused on showcasing innovative new companies to more established players in our region aims to create potential new business opportunities in the region as well as provide a platform for our indigenous and multinational enterprises to collaborate and share knowledge for the growth of our industry in the region.

Thursday’s event was focused on the area of HR, health, wellbeing and employee engagement, and saw a group of senior leaders such as Sean Ryan, CEO Aspen Grove; Noranne Stack, Managing Director, Enercon Windfarm Services Ireland; and Paula O’Sullivan, Group HR Director, Fexco hear excellent pitches from three upcoming businesses in the South West including:

 Albert Williams from Perkforce, a company which provides a holistic approach to wellness and well-being by showcasing to staff an organisation’s benefits, lifestyle perks, and personal development support resources.

Derval O’Rourke and Greg O’Gorman’s Digital Health Resource which provides a WorkPlace Health & Wellbeing Platform to the SME and larger organisations that supports their employees physical and mental wellbeing and

Stephen Egan from RediCare which is a digital therapeutics firm, founded in Ireland in 2014 by an experienced multi-disciplined team with backgrounds in Medicine, Nutritional Scientist, Software Engineering and Operations.

Speaking at the event, Donagh Kiernan, Vice Chair of it@cork said “Through events like today, we are bringing emerging technologies to the attention of larger companies and showcasing the exciting young innovative companies developing across Cork and Kerry”. He added “With organisations like it@cork and KerrySciTech supporting, connecting and driving collaboration across companies and stakeholders right across the region, there is huge potential for tech and tech enabled businesses based in the South West right now.”
